Claremont's low cost psychotherapy service is part of an overall aim at Claremont to create a multi-disciplinary centre interested in creativity, well being and personal and social development.
A formal referral isn't necessary, although many of our clients come via a recommendation from their GP.
If you are would like to know more about the service, please contact Claire Marshall, Clinical Manager for Psychotherapy at Claremont on 020 7689 8091 (or you can email her at Claire at claremont-project.org).
You can also find more information about the service below.
In cooperation with the British Association of Art Therapists, we run a low cost one-to-one art therapy service, open to adults resident in Islington. We also offer other forms of arts therapy, including music, dance and movement, and drama therapies.
Claremont's Social Prescription project, funded by Islington Giving and Claremont, is open to Islington residents. We are especially looking to engage people aged 55 or older and who are isolated. The project is aimed primarily at encouraging GP's and front-line NHS staff to refer people to our services but people can also self-refer.
Nearly all of Claremont's regular programme of services can be seen as containing elements of, if not being all about, learning. This includes our reading group (currently reading and discussing Milton's Paradise Lost), our creative writing and wide range of arts classes, our various personal exploration and development groups and our special events and talks (The History of Tea, Modern Architecture, etc.).
Claremont offers a range of arts, including two choirs, arts and crafts workshops and master classes with our partners at Cubitt Studios, creative writing, drama, photography projects, and lots and lots of dance!
